my dayjob makes it kind of hard to be invested in more than a few things at a time (ie, i am the sleepiest person in the world off the clock), but i do enjoy transformative and original works of all kinds. i don't bite, i promise.

i'm super new to this site as well, so i'm also just getting my bearings. from what i know it functions like old LiveJournal, so you just create journal entries as you please and look for communities on your own.
for layouts, i've personally just been tweaking things in the customization interface. if you want custom CSS/HTML like tumblr themes or something i've found a couple places that have nice ones: https://aliahan.dreamwidth.org/, https://shinemagic.dreamwidth.org/
